Upcycled Powder "Gulurico®"
Gulurico® is a high-value powder produced through "JOSEN". It keeps food's flavor concentrated and retains high nutritional content. We have upcycled ingredients such as onions, shiitake mushrooms, and beer lees. "Gulurico®" can be used in a variety situations in daily life, from food ingredients that enhance flavor to seasonings.

Flavor concentration
Comparing with heat-dried onions, JOSEN-dried "Onion Gulurico®" is 135 times more concentrated in aroma components, according to our analysis using Gas Chromatograph Mass Spectrometer (GC-MS).

Highly nutritious
We analyzed the nutritional and functional components of heat-dried spinach, burdock, and long green onions compared to JOSEN-dried "Gulurico®." In all cases, "Gulurico®" showed higher nutritional value and functional component levels.
In particular, heat-sensitive vitamin C was not detected in the heat-dried samples, but was found in JOSEN-dried samples. We found that the superheated steam technology is able to dry the ingredients without destroying their nutrients and functional components. This is becuase JOSEN can complete a cycle within 5-10 seconds at 400°C, whereas heat drying needs prolonged heating at 60°C.

Upcycled food ingredients
We are planning to display the "Gulurico®" logo on the packaging and POP displays of products from various companies. For example, the logo will be featured on the packaging of onion bread, dressings, and ready-to-eat curries using "Onion Gulurico®," helping consumers recognize these products are "sustainable."
